Since I was young I have always been drawn to fixing things – be it around the house, my bicycle, or bits to my old motor vehicles. This knack for hands-on work extended to helping family and friends with various projects.
As life progressed and I got married, this inclination led us to find our 'one-careful owner' 1930s home in 2013. It was in desperate need of a overhaul, devoid of central heating it was frozen in a time warp reminiscent of the 1960s. I took on as much of the renovation work as possible, finding it a huge challenge but incredibly rewarding.
Meanwhile, my professional life revolved around a demanding role as the Head of Quality within a multi-national American training company.
In over 20 years, I steadily climbed the corporate ladder, honing my skills and building a solid reputation for surpassing benchmark standards and implementing effective organisational changes. Despite this success, I had a desire for something new and coupled with my enduring passion for property something more lingered.
In 2015, after supporting others as a side hustle, I decided to invest in my first Buy-to-Let property investment, and over time these two aspects have gradually led to an increase in the management of single-let properties across the East Midlands, focusing particularly in Nottinghamshire, Chesterfield and Lincolnshire areas. My role involved not just looking after the properties but also supporting investors and tenants, making the most of my combined skills in property management and hands-on renovation experience.
In 2024, I took a leap of faith to focus on my business, support my ageing parents and leave my commercial role. My goal is clear – to offer the best possible service to landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders in the property management arena - striving to be 'always better'.
Embarking on this entrepreneurial journey, I bring a wealth of experience in quality assurance, organisational development and successful property management. My commitment to maintaining high standards, building strong relationships, and adapting to the dynamic nature of the property market will be the pillars of my success in this new and exciting chapter.
